How To Add Codes To Gameshark Ps2
Previously, nosotros saw how to put GameShark codes on ePSXe. At present we will see how to exercise it on one of the all-time emulator of Playstation 2.
Annotation : There are some other means to exercise that, but firstly information technology's interesting to know how things work, isn't information technology? If you don't have the emulator, you can download it from the Official Website.
1. Place THE GAME
Open up the emulator and run any game, then printing ESC and check the Log Window. If you don't have this window, enable it by clicking on Show Panel, under the Misc menu. You should see something like this:
The highlighted area shows the CRC code of the game. In this case, it's for Concluding Fantasy 10 (NTSC-J), information technology depends on the game. Copy the code without 0x, and so it would be 6A4EFE60.
2. CREATE THE PNACH FILE
Now, navigate to the emulator installation folder (commonly in C:\Programme Files\PCSX2, but it can be different) and open the folder called Cheats.
Annotation : Past default, a binder called Cheats will also be created in My Documents. Don't become confused with this folder, because this procedure only worked using the folder within the emulator installation folder.
In the cheats folder, let's create a New Text Certificate and rename it with the CRC lawmaking from the previous step. In this instance, my file would be 6A4EFE60.txt. However, y'all have to change its extension from txt to pnach, which is the extension for files that store the game'south data, such as proper noun, comment, cheats, etc. To do then, open the Control Panel, and so Appearance and Personalization, and click on Folder Options. In the new window, click on the View tab and uncheck the "Hide extensions for known file types" option, like the picture below:
After applying the modification, become back to the Cheats folder, you lot should see the .txt extension in the file. Delete it and write .pnach instead. Now, your file name should exist like this:
3. CONVERT THE CODES
A simple search on the Net and you tin can find many codes for your game, but most of them are still coded, which ways that the emulator might not recognize them, and then you lot have to convert them to the RAW format. There are a lot of converter out the, but I use this one, information technology'due south simple and easy:
OmniConvert v1.0.3 – DOWNLOAD MediaFire
To use it, just put the code on the left side, specify in the Input tab what blazon it is (for example, Action Replay, GameShark, etc). Then, in the Output tab, always cull Unencrypted > Standard to go the RAW code. Next, click on the Catechumen button. Wait at an example:
On the left side, the Action Replay codes:
MAX GIL
1CA898E0 1DBC9E0C
TIDUS HP MAX
1CA8B380 1455692C
1CA8B388 1455692C
On the right side, the converted codes (RAW format):
MAX GIL
203117B8 3B9AC9FF
TIDUS HP MAX
20313058 0001869F
20313060 0001869F
4. Add together THE Lawmaking
Let'due south use the RAW codes above:
MAX GIL
203117B8 3B9AC9FF
TIDUS HP MAX
20313058 0001869F
20313060 0001869F
Open up your PNACH file and write following the colors:
gametitle= Your game'due south name
comment= Write anything here
// Code 1 description
patch=1,EE, AAAAAAAA ,extended, BBBBBBBB
// Descrição do código 2
patch=1,EE, WWWWWWWW ,extended, XXXXXXXX
patch=i,EE, YYYYYYYY ,extended, ZZZZZZZZ
*If y'all write patch=0, it means that the code volition remain disabled
Change the lines according to your codes, following the color example. In this instance, the file would be like this:
Now salve it and close.
5. ENABLE THE CODES
Back to the emulator, in the Arrangement carte, click Enable Cheats. When you run the game, check the logs. It should be written something similar this at the last lines: "Loaded X Cheats from '6A4EFE60.pnach'" (The proper noun of your PNACH file). Now go back to the game and savor the codes!
